The other day I posted about a new product line that I discovered at the Baltimore Natural Hair Care expo. It’s called Shea Radiance (SR) and I absolutely am fond of all their products. My first post was on the Moisture Rich Hair Butter so this post is devoted to the Maximum Moisture Conditioner. While the Hair Butter was gifted to me by the folks at SR, I purchased this conditioner from their website when they were having a 50% off sale. It retails for $13 for 8 oz. which is a few dollars cheaper than some of the other products. You can buy it at select Whole Foods, Mom’s Organic Market. I even saw it sold on Sears.com for a little cheaper….random…

This is yet another amaaaazing conditioner! It does an awesome job at softening and moisturizing my hair and really penetrates the hair shaft. I like to use this as a deep conditioner by leaving it on my hair for about 30 mins under a shower cap or a heat cap (shout out to Maya for reminding me that I had this thing under my sink). I swear this heat cap is as old as I am lol seriously, and it still works, safety strap and all lmao!
…hideous, not cute I know #dontjudgeme lol——>
The conditioner is a really dense, creamy consistently, almost buttery and it comes in a pump dispenser which is super convenient. It’s kinda velvety, very unique, I was in awe while pumping it out of the bottle lol (creepy I know). The SR product line has lots of spicy, citrusy fragrance tones and this one is kind of lemony with a little rosemary maybe (?), could be the hempseed oil too perhaps… whatever it is, it’s SO good! Very aromatherapeutic :o)
I used this after ayurvedic treatments and also after a bentonite clay treatment (<—-post on this comin soon!) and it restored all the moisture back to my hair and made it really smooth and manageable. It definitely closed the cuticle of my hair back up. It has a cool amount of slip, distributed easily and softened my hair almost on contact. I always apply conditioner in sections to ensure coverage.
Afterwards, my hair feels strong and supple, probably because of the keratin and wheat protein. I always forget to rub conditioner into my scalp but if I had, I am sure it would have made it feel fresh and clean lol. I really wish this came in a larger size because I go through conditioner like no other! This one is wonderful.
